ULSTER Rugby has confirmed the signing of former U20 All-Black out-half Aidan Morgan.
The Irish-qualified number 10 has signed with the province until at least June 2026.
Currently playing for the Hurricanes, Morgan has earned 23 caps across his first three seasons in Super Rugby.
Speaking to his current club, he said it was an exciting opportunity to head overseas and explore the world.
“The Hurricanes has been my home since I left high school four years ago and although it was a difficult decision to leave, this opportunity with Ulster is one that aligns with my aspirations as a player”, Morgan said.
“I’m looking forward to contributing to the rest of the season with the Hurricanes.
“I am really excited for the opportunity to join Ulster for the next two seasons.”
Having represented New Zealand at U20s level, after impressing in his school’s campaign in 2019 which saw Kings College secure its first Auckland Schools championship title in over a decade, Aidan went on to be developed through the Hurricanes Academy.

Hurricanes head coach Clark Laidlaw paid tribute to Morgan, saying his attitude and team-first approach is part of what set him apart.
Laidlaw said: “Although Aidan hasn’t got as many opportunities to start as he would have liked this season.
“His ability to contribute to our preparation each week has been relentless.
“He’s an amazing team man, and I’m sure he’ll succeed on his next adventure overseas, and we wish him all the best. We look forward to reconnecting in the future.”
Speaking ahead of linking up with the province, Aidan Morgan, said: “I’m really looking forward to making the move to Belfast this summer, and getting the opportunity to represent Ulster and the birthplace of my grandfather.
“I know that Ulster is steeped in history, and I’m looking forward to being a part of the atmosphere at Kingspan Stadium.
“I’m really excited for the opportunity to be a part of a talented team, and to play in front of the club’s passionate supporters.
“It’s a great time to be joining Ulster. I’m excited to play alongside a very skilful squad under Richie and the coaching team’s vision for the future.”
