There looks to be more to come from the Aga Khan-owned colt Imarajan as he makes his handicap debut at Limerick on Wednesday evening.

The son of Camelot, trained by Michael Halford and Tracey Collins, has stepped forward from run to run and can strike tried in this company.

He made little impression on his sole start at two but shaped with more promise on his return this season when fifth in Cork.

It probably wasn’t the strongest maiden in which he finished third at Sligo last time but it was a good effort nonetheless.

He was free early on then but galloped on resolutely at the finish when beaten just over a length-and-three-quarters behind Castleheath.

Stepping up almost a furlong looks like it should suit and could bring a touch more improvement.

A mark of 70 doesn’t look harsh for a potential improver and he just gets into this level of race.

Copie Conforme looks like an obvious danger having been third on her handicap debut at the same Sligo meeting last month.

She kept on one-paced behind Sheen Falls Time and off the same mark is entitled to be thereabouts.

In the following mile maiden, September Leaves appeals having run well in handicap company on her return at the Curragh.

The Night Of Thunder filly was fourth in a competitive contest won by Zaynab and was unlucky then having been stopped in her run and squeezed up a furlong from home.

She finished only a head behind Asian Daze that day and the form looks strong as that rival ran a cracker to finish second in Listed company at Navan on Saturday.

September Leaves hasn’t much to find with the 84-rated Bacchanalian with her fillies’ allowance and is given slight preference over the colt, who disappointed slightly on his return at Cork in late April.

In the concluding two-mile-one handicap, Killeemore Lad can gain a deserved win.

The Doyen gelding was runner-up twice over hurdles before chasing home Sign From Above on the Flat at Listowel 10 days ago.

He went up 2lb for that effort but looks capable of winning one of these off his current mark.

It looked like a competitive contest in which he finished second last time and a similar run may be enough to make the breakthrough on the level now.
