An Oklahoma City man has said that he will never set foot in a Walmart store again after claiming that he spent half an hour scanning his shopping at a self-checkout.
The man, Mitch Hastings, said on a post on Facebook that when he was at the store only self-checkout options were available, despite needing to purchase $400 worth of groceries.
“This will be my last Walmart trip,” he said.

“I just spent 30 mins checking out $400 of groceries with the machine showing error every other item while an associate stood behind me to scan in every time.”
He went on to say that he had to ask an employee to watch over his shopping cart while he went to get an empty cart to put his bagged groceries in.
Following this, he claims a store employee tried to stop him to check his receipt as he left.
“Then on the way out someone sitting at the entrance tried to stop me to see my receipt,” he said.
Mr Hastings responded, “No thanks” and walked out of the exit.
Users took to the comments section of the post to share their thoughts.
“I couldn’t agree more,” said one, while another remarked how they “always refuse” to show their receipt.
However, others were less sympathetic and noted that it was his fault for using the store at a time when only self-checkouts were available and buying a cart-full of groceries.
“Okay and??? Totally your fault for buying so much,” one person replied.
“Maybe don’t go during the morning,” they added.
