FIVE cars have been damaged overnight in south Belfast in what police are treating as a sectarian hate crime.
Police were alerted before noon on Sunday that four vehicles parked overnight at the Maryville Park area were damaged.
There was also another report of a vehicle parked in the nearby Mowhan Street are between midnight and 1.30am on Sunday.
A police spokesperson said: “Enquiries are continuing but at this stage, police are investigating a potential link between these reports which are also being treated as sectarian motivated hate crimes.”
Anyone with relevant information is asked to call 101, quoting reference 538 for December 29.
