One arrest after cannabis seized in New IRA criminality probe

Police investigating criminality linked to the New IRA have arrested a 19-year-old man after seizing a quantity of cannabis in north Belfast.

The man was detained on Wednesday at a property in the Brompton Park area on suspicion of possessing a Class B drug and possession of a Class B drug with intent to supply.



He was later released on bail to allow for further enquiries.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “The investigation continues.”
