North Belfast arson attack: Woman released on police bail

A 33-year-old woman questioned on suspicion of arson in north Belfast has been released on police bail.

The woman was arrested in connection with the incident in the Ashfield Court area when petrol was poured through the letterbox of a house.

Three people were inside the property during the attack on Friday shortly after midday.

Damage was caused to a door.

The woman was detained on suspicion of a number of offences including arson with intent to endanger life.



A PSNI spokesman said on Saturday: “A 33-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of a number of offences following a reported arson attack at the Ashfield Court area of north Belfast on Friday 3rd January, has been released on police bail pending further enquiries”.
