Man charged after taxi driver ‘threatened with firearm’ in Co Tyrone

A man has been charged in connection with an incident during which a taxi driver was allegedly threatened with a firearm.

The incident happened in the Market Square area of Dungannon on Monday morning.

Police have confirmed that the 48-year-old has been charged with possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.



A PSNI spokesperson said: "He is expected to appear at Dungannon Magistrates Court on 26 February.

“As is normal procedure the charge will be reviewed by the PPS.”
