The family of a missing Belfast father-of-two say they are ‘distraught’ after he did not return home from a holiday in Spain.
John Hardy has been missing for almost a week and was due to fly home on Wednesday, December 18. He did not board the flight.
His family said his last known movement was a car journey from Alicante to Benidorm and they have not been in contact with him since December 14.
John’s sister, Courtney George, told BBC’s Good Morning Ulster that it was “completely out of character” that he had not been in touch.
“John is always in contact, no matter what,” she said.
“It’s just bizarre. We’re just hoping and praying that everything’s OK.”
Ms George said that she would appeal to anyone who might be travelling to the area for holidays to “keep an eye out” for her brother.
“We want him home; we want him safe. He has a family that absolutely loves and adores him,” she said.
“The unknown is the killer; we just need to know.”
Both the PSNI and the Foreign Office have been liaising with the family as well as the local authorities in Spain.
