Treacherous driving conditions caused a multiple vehicle collision in Co Antrim.

But the Frosses Road between Ballymoney and Ballymena has now re-opened.

Local diversions were in place, with the northbound lanes completely closed to traffic for a number of hours.

A police spokesperson said: “Frosses Road has now fully reopened to motorists following an earlier collision; however road conditions in the area are treacherous due to the current weather.

“Please slow down, and increase your stopping distance from the car in front.”
