Two people have been arrested in connection to the ongoing investigation into the fatal explosion at a petrol station in Creeslough, Co Donegal.

The October 7 2022 explosion killed 10 people – four men, three women and three young people, ranging in ages from five to 59.



In a statement on Monday, gardaí said a man and a woman, both aged in their 40s, were arrested and are being held at separate garda stations in Donegal.

The arrests were made this morning in connection to the explosion at the service station and apartment building.

The 10 people who died in the Creeslough tragedy were: Catherine O’Donnell (39) and her son, James Monaghan (13), Martin McGill (49), Jessica Gallagher (24), James O’Flaherty (48), Martina Martin (49), Hugh Kelly (59), Robert Garwe (50) and his daughter, Shauna Flanagan Garwe (5) and teenager, Leona Harper (14)
