Moy-based haulage provider Freeburn Transport has opened a new three-acre depot in Mallusk which it says offers enhanced capabilities and further strengthens its commitment to provide top-tier logistics solutions across the north.
Strategically located near all of the major Northern Ireland ports, the depot is designed to streamline operations and improve service delivery.
One of its key features is secure overnight parking, offering added convenience and peace of mind.
The new location will be pivotal in supporting Freeburn Transport’s expanding operations in the region and enabling faster turnaround times for clients.
Jordan Lemon has been appointed as operations manager for the Mallusk depot, where he will oversee day-to-day operations and play a key role in ensuring the depot operates efficiently and continues to meet the growing demands of the business.
The firm’s managing director Chris Freeburn said: “We’re excited about the opening of our Mallusk depot, which is a significant milestone in our ongoing expansion.
“This new facility, combined with the expertise of Jordan Lemon and our dedicated staff, will further enhance our ability to provide outstanding service to our customers in Belfast and beyond.”
In the year to December 2023 Freeburn Transport - which has more than a dozen staff on its books - posted sales of £17 million (down on the previous year’s figure of £19 million) and had a retained profit of just under £300,000.
To support its expansion, Freeburn Transport said it is currently recruiting for day, night, and weekend drivers to join the team at the new depot, and interested candidates should email recruitment@freeburntransport.com
