THIS season, Donegal have been both the surprise package and the dominant force of Gaelic football after Jim McGuinness came to the rescue after a controversial few years.

Following Michael Murphy’s retirement after last season and the size of the mountain ahead of them, almost no one thought that Donegal would be Division Two champions, Ulster champions and All-Ireland semi-finalists.

Jimmy will not want to stop winning matches though and will want to cap his glorious return by bringing Sam Maguire back to Ballybofey for the first time in 12 years.
