When will the rescheduled All-Ireland club semi-finals be played?

Both senior semi-finals, which Errigal Ciarán were due to take part in have been refixed

FOLLOWING a cold snap at the weekend, the postponed club championship fixtures have been rescheduled to take place later this month.

Both All-Ireland club senior semi-finals (Dr Crokes v Errigal Ciarán and Cuala v Coolera-Strandhill) were called off after pitch inspections found the surfaces at the venues to be unplayable.

Cuala and Coolera-Strandhill were due to play at 1.30pm and Errigal Ciarán were due to take the field at 3.30pm, both on Saturday, January 4.

Errigal Ciarán, after coming out on top in Tyrone and Ulster, will now play Kerry and Munster champions Dr Crokes at O’Moore Park in Portlaoise, Co Laois on Saturday, January 11.

Errigal Ciarán have had a trailblazing season, where they were tipped to win Ulster from very early on and took the scalps of teams like Clann Eireann and Kilcoo on the way to the Seamus McFerran Cup.

First-time Dublin and Leinster champions Cuala will also play Collera-Strandhill of Sligo at Kingspan Breffini in Cavan on Saturday, January 11.

The CCCC will confirm throw-in times on Monday.

Weather disruptions also caused venue changes for the Intermediate club semi-finals, with Ballinderry’s clash with Austin Stacks moving to Parnell Park in Dublin, having been originally fixed for Glensik O’Connor Park in Tullamore, Co Offaly. The throw-in time was also pushed back from 1pm to 2pm.

Despite the late change, Ballinderry came back in the second half to book their place in the All-Ireland Intermediate final at Croke Park in a fortnight.

The other Intermediate semi-final between Crossmolina Deel Rovers and Caragh went ahead at Pearse Park in Longford, with Rovers of Mayo coming out on top in difficult conditions.
