GREEN Day have announced a Dublin date at Marlay Park next summer.
The US pop punk giants will bring The Saviors EU/UK Tour to Marlay Park on June 27 with special guests Nothing But Thieves and Maid Of Ace.
The date will find the trio celebrating their forthcoming 14th album Saviors, due for release in January, as well as marking the 20th anniversary of their hit 2004 album American Idiot and the 30th anniversary of Dookie, the Berkeley band's 1994 major label debut and mainstream breakthrough.
The tour is modestly billed as "a larger-than-life, career-spanning celebration of one of the biggest musical acts of all time and some of the most important albums in history".
Green Day say: “We’ve never been more excited to unleash new music than with Saviors, a record that’s meant to be rocked live, together. So let’s thrash. We’ve got some amazing friends who are coming along for the ride.”

The band released a brand new single from Saviors today, Look Ma, No Brains!, which follows the previously released The American Dream is Killing Me.
The cover of the new album features a digitally altered photo taken by London-based photographer Chris Steele-Perkins during a riot in west Belfast in 1978.
Irish fans can access pre-sale codes for the Marlay Park show by pre-ordering Saviors via greenday.com by 3pm on Tuesday November 7. The presale starts Wednesday November 8 at 9.30am, with general sales commencing on Friday November 10 at 9.30am via ticketmaster.ie, with tickets priced from €89.90.
