Paddington 2 will be shown at Crumlin Road Gaol (with free marmalade sandwiches), locally shot coming-of-age flick Mickeybo & Me will be screened at Carnegie Oldpark and Fermanagh Film Club, while last year's Co Tyrone farmer revenge thriller masterpiece Bad Day For The Cut is to be screened at Seamus Heaney Homeplace.

Cinema Day also brings a special Belfast Film Festival screening of excellent new documentary short The Curzon Project, which delves into the history of this much missed south Belfast picture house, at the Curzon Cinema's original site on the Ormeau Road.

Portrush Film Theatre will be offering the musical comedy Cupcakes along with the sugary baked goods which inspired its title at the Playhouse Portrush and Amnesty Cinema Club at Ormeau Baths Gallery will show Chauka, Please Tell Us The Time, the hard hitting documentary about the Manus Island Detention Centre in Papua New Guinea.
